The next morning dawned with a sense of anticipation lingering in the air for Surisha. She woke up early, her mind preoccupied with the upcoming meeting at Dadi Surita's house. As she went about her morning routine, the events of the previous day replayed in her mind.
Surisha couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled within her. Despite the success of the decorations at Mrs. Rawal's event, a sense of foreboding clouded her thoughts. The jingling sound of her anklets seemed to echo a warning, a subtle reminder of the uncertainties that lay ahead.
With a determined resolve, Surisha pushed aside her apprehensions and focused on the day ahead. She dressed in a simple yet elegant attire, concealing any traces of her marital status. The weight of her unacknowledged marriage lingered in the depths of her heart, a secret she carried with her every day.
As she prepared to leave for Dadi Surita's house, Tanvi arrived, her effervescent presence injecting a spark of energy into the morning. Together, they set off, the car slicing through the morning traffic towards their destination.
Upon reaching Dadi Surita's house, Surisha was greeted warmly and led inside. The elderly woman's eyes held a kind twinkle as she discussed the upcoming puja and the decorations. Surisha listened attentively, her mind already racing with ideas and plans for the event.
Amidst the preparations and discussions, a sense of peace settled within Surisha. Despite the turmoil that had marked her past, she found solace in the simple act of creating beauty through her craft. Each decoration she meticulously arranged felt like a brushstroke on the canvas of her life, a testament to her resilience and creativity.
Little did Surisha know that fate, like a capricious dancer, was about to twirl her into a new chapter of her life. The storm that loomed on the horizon carried with it both challenges and opportunities, testing the boundaries of her courage and convictions.
As Surisha was final checking the arrangements suddenly her attention went towards the main gate. At the same time Reyansh entered the mansion. Surisha's eyes went wide seeing her husband after 2 years.
"What is he doing here? He stays here? He is the grandson of dadi!?" many thoughts were coming in her mind. He stood there in his own glory with a blue fitted suit.
"He didn't notice me yet. What will he think if he saw me here?" Surisha thought. Just then she saw he was moving upstairs. She sighed in relief and started to finish the work quickly. Suddenly dadi called her from the living room. Surisha went towards the living room and saw Reyansh sitting beside dadi. Her heart started beating quickly.
Dadi:"Surisha beta, meet my grumpy grandson Reyansh Agnihotri and Reyansh meet Surisha, the one who is in charge of decorating the mansion." Reyansh's eyes went wide when he saw her, his legally wedded wife for 2 years. He didn't expect that he will see her again in future. Suddenly he started to feel angry because he thought that Surisha came to his house to told his family about their marriage while using excuses of decorating mansion.
Reyansh:" Ms.or Mrs. Surisha?"
Surisha :"Ms. Surisha Mehra".
Reyansh :"Good, miss Surisha I want to talk to you in private. Follow me."
Surisha in her mind, "kitne akdu hein mere pati. Mana ki woh mujhe patni nhi mante but at least sweetly to baat kar sakhte hein. Unko dekhkar to esa lag rahar hein ki woh bohot gusse mein hein. Mein nhi janti thi ki yeh unka ghar hein. Kher mein to yeh bhi nhi janti unka naam Reyansh hein". Her thoughts broke when Reyansh shouted at her.
Reyansh:"EARTH TO MS. SURISHA. I'm telling you something but your attention is somewhere else."
Surisha :"I-I'm sorry. I was thinking about something."
Reyansh:" Tum yeha pe mere family ko humare shadi k baare mein batane kiliye ayi hona? Listen Surisha I'm telling you I don't consider you as my wife. If you dare to tell this topic to anyone, I will not spare you. I will make your life living hell".
Surisha: "Aap mujhe galat samajh rahe hein. Mujhe nhi pata tha ki yeh apka ghar hein. Mujhe to yeh bhi nhi pata tha ki apka naam Reyansh hein."
Reyansh :" Stop acting innocent. I know that you want my property that's why you came here. I know what kind of girl you are".
Surisha :" Jab Aap mere bare mein kuch nhi jante aap mujhe ese judge nhi kar sakhte. And what do you mean by what kind of girl I'm?"
Reyansh:" You don't know what kind of girl you are? Then listen you are a gold digger who only wants money."
Surisha:" Stop it Reyansh. You don't have any rights to call me a gold digger without knowing me".
Reyansh:" Don't talk to me in that tone. And keep that thing in your mind that nobody should know about our marriage." with that Reyansh went out her sight.
